Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny quiet town. The people who aren't familiar with this term frequently think that there is a separate island in the west of Montreal but in fact the West Island is home to every aspect of Lachine west to the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is often known as the place where she was born. However, she only resided there for a very short time. Brugel developed on Courtice close to Oshawa located in Ontario. She was determined to be professional, however because of a huge expansion, she surpassed every dance partner she met. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. When I grew out of male companions at that point, I gave up. The Brugel is one of the former dancers that turned into acting. The teacher she had at high school encouraged her in the right direction. It was her teacher who encouraged her to try out to play the character of Anne in their annual school production. She was the teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the school's annual production. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Over the past 20 years since, Brugel has been offered roles in more than 60 productions across small and big screens, attracting the greatest attention when she landed the role as Rita on the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in the season 1 which was viewed only on occasion.
